AGU Holds 8th Sustainable Development Goals Workshop for Children

The eighth edition of the workshop series "Sustainable
Development Goals for Children" was held by the Faculty of Architecture of
Abdullah Gül University (AGU) on the "International Day of Forests"
and welcomed seventh-grade students of Hikmet Kozan Secondary School.Focusing on the UN's 15th Sustainable Development Goal,
"Life on Land," the workshop provided background information and
shared national and international examples of forest protection and
afforestation. In addition, the students created an empathy map at the workshop
and made nature-themed designs from recycled materials.
Under the coordination of Prof. Burak Asiliskender, Chair of
the Department of Architecture, Dr. Sümeyra Ayık, Dr. Sinan Akyüz, and RA
Gülsüm Polat, students Yunus Yıldız, Furkan Bal, Ebrar Beceren, Ayça Orhan, and
Melike Tuna from the AGU TEMA Youth Club and Melike Akyüz from Architecture
helped run the workshop.
