The theme of this year's AYDA Awards, which has been organized by Nippon Paint for 14 years, is “CONVERGENCE: Pressing the Reset Button”. Monday July 25, 2022 is the deadline for the application and submission of the competition, which is organized in two separate categories as ”Architecture“ and ”Interior Architecture" and in two stages (National and International). Within the scope of AYDA Awards 2022, the national winner of both categories has the chance to compete with the award-winning participants of other countries and get the chance to win the title of “International Grand Winner” and get an education at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

A cooperation protocol was signed between Abdullah Gül University (AGU) and Ardahan City Council, under which joint work will be carried out for the workshop program on sustainable development goals within the framework of climate change.The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Cengiz Yılmaz, the Rector of AGU, and Burak Taştan, President of Ardahan City Council.With the protocol between the two institutions, within the framework of United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, joint activities will be carried out including topics such as climate change, water footprint, carbon footprint, food waste, quality of Education, Culture, sustainability, smart cities and communities, clean energy, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.Within the scope of the protocol, studies will also be conducted on teachers working at all levels in Ardahan and the trainings that will be given to students studying in primary, secondary and high schools.
Referring to the agenda request letter dated 01.04.2022 and numbered 31156 of the Faculty of Architecture; Assist. Prof. Dr. Ömer Devrim AKSOYAK who works in the Department of Architecture Design and Criticism of the Faculty of Architecture, was assigned to take part in 'graduation project' course evaluation jury of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Yeşim Kösten (MIM 402) from the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of Kocaeli University. According to Article 39 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, it was unanimously decided that he would be assigned to Kocaeli University on 15.04.2022, 13.05.2022 and 09.06.2022 without any traveling expenses.
World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development Celebrated at AGU The World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development, one of the international days proclaimed by UNESCO, was celebrated at Abdullah Gül University (AGU).AGU's student clubs, AGU Personal Networking, Society of Women Engineers (AGU SWE), and Women in Business (AGU WIB), collaborated with Youth Factory to organize the day's activities. KİGDER President Specialist Doctor Sema Karaoğlu, Sefes Founder Şafak Çivici, Çemens Founder Hülya Tiritoğlu came together at the Abdullah Gül Presidential Museum and Library to meet students. Dr. Karaoğlu, Çivici, and Tiritoğlu also took a tour of the museum and the library located inside the museum.
Assistant Professor Umut Türk who is head of Economis Department made a presentation about “Human Development” and “Equality in Education” in an event last week. This event was organized by The Regional Science Academy-Advanced Brainstorm Carrefour, the Western Regional Science Association with the concept of Happy and Healthy Cities.
