Dr. Gökmen Kara and Dr. İsmet Söylemez designed and taught the course GLB 207 - Responsible Consumption and Production.Increasing consumption and changing consumer behaviors in parallel with ever-growing population mandates new solutions in industries and infrastructures. Innovation in this perspective has gained much importance and is one of the key indicators of economic sustainability of the countries. Developing sustainable innovation strategies, via industry-university collaborations, and implementing these strategies seem to be of crucial importance for a sustainable world economy. In this regard, the SDG set by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the UN focuses on building resilient infrastructures, promoting sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation. This goal of this course is to introduce the students to different approaches employed in different industries to developing innovation strategies.
